Lorenzo Trujillo (Trumpet)
born in San Francisco, grew up playing a wide variety of instruments, from violin to saxophone, before deciding that trumpet was his calling. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Louisville, Master of Fine Arts from CalArts and a Doctorate from UCLA. He has performed throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil and tours regularly as lead trumpet with Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. Among the world famous artists with whom Lorenzo has appeared are Travis Tritt, Michael MacDonald, Kid Rock, Slash (From Guns ‘n’ Roses), Linda Ronstadt, Harry Connick, Gregory Hines and Aretha Franklin. In 2009, Lorenzo released a recording of new music for big band and solo trumpet. Lorenzo currently resides in St. Louis, MO where he continues an active free-lance career.
