Dan is a native of Klamath Falls, Oregon. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance at the University of Oregon and his Master’s at the University of British Columbia. Between his studies in Oregon and Canada, Dan spent a year in Los Angeles free-lancing and developing his skills in commercial music. While at the University of British Columbia, Dan was Musical Director of the Vancouver Brass Quintet.
Outside the trumpet realm, Dan performed with University of Oregon's acclaimed men's a cappella group On the Rocks, where he served as Musical Director and arranged quite a bit of new repertoire for the group, including original tunes. His work can be found on the On the Rocks CD's titled "Full Coverage" and "The Green Room". He currently resides north of the border in beautiful Vancouver, Canada.
