Stephen Kunzer currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is on faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas teaching tuba and euphonium. In addition to his teaching, Stephen is very active as a freelance player on the Las Vegas Strip, performing regularly on tuba and bass trombone.
He has played performances across the United States and Asia, and regularly gives recitals and lectures at colleges and high schools across the U.S. Stephen has also presented several recitals as a featured artist at Regional and International Tuba and Euphonium Conferences.
Stephen completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona with degrees in Music Education and Music Performance, and completed his Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Performance.
When not performing or teaching, Stephen enjoys the beautiful Southwest by hiking, camping, hunting, spelunking, and fishing.
