RYAN CHRISTIANSON

Trombone

Ryan Christianson was born to a musical family in Grand Forks, ND and began playing trombone at an early age. Ryan graduated with a B.M. in Trombone Performance from the University of Minnesota. He was an active freelance musician and educator in the Twin Cities area having performed and recorded with creative projects including the McNasty Brass Band and Nooky Jones, as well as with national acts such as Lorie Line and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. In 2014, Ryan was selected as a finalist in the International Trombone Association's Carl Fontana Competition. He currently lives in Chicago, IL with his wife, Sarah, where he freelances with groups

ranging from New Orleans style brass bands and big bands to symphony orchestras. Ryan also serves as Principal Trombone in the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra.
