DJ was a member of Dallas Brass from 2005-2016 and returns this season. Having begun his musical studies on the trombone, DJ didn't actually begin playing the trumpet until his 3rd year in college and soon after won the Gordon T. Parks Memorial Scholarship Competition. Professionally, DJ has performed with the Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Utah Symphony, Mannheim Steamroller, ArapahoePhilharmonic, and the Lawrence Welk Orchestra.He especially enjoys performing in professional pit orchestras.When not performing, DJ enjoys a professional career in Southern Utah with his wife, Liahona, as a band instrument repair technician and lesson studio teacher.DJ’s hobbies include the great outdoors, eating as healthy as possible, and working towards throwing the perfect dart game
